The chairwoman of a charity started by Prince Harry said his brand is toxic. She said it is making it hard for the group. She spoke to the Financial Times about this. Her name is Dr Sophie Chandauka. She first noticed problems with Prince Harry about a year ago.
The charity is called Sentebale. Prince Harry made it almost 20 years ago. It is named after his mother Diana. It helps people in southern Africa who live with HIV and Aids. Prince Harry left the charity because he did not get along with Dr Chandauka.
People from Sentebale and the Sussexes were asked for their thoughts on this. Prince Harry said he left because things were not good between the charity’s trustees and Dr Chandauka. He started the charity with Prince Seeiso from Lesotho. Prince Harry blames Dr Chandauka for making it too hard to run the charity.
Dr Chandauka also claimed Prince Harry’s team wanted her to defend his wife Meghan. She refused.
Dr Chandauka said Prince Harry leaving has caused problems in the charity. She accuses him of bullying. The charity confirmed it will restructure its board.
Now, the Charity Commission is looking into matters at Sentebale.
