The recent Whispers of the Wind update has introduced a significant change to the Star Path menu in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The Bonus Rewards tab has been replaced by a new feature called the Star Path Vault, which allows players to earn past rewards and recoloured versions through new gameplay tasks.
The Star Path Vault is a permanent addition to the game that provides players with the opportunity to unlock rewards from previous Star Path events. These rewards can be enjoyed in their original state or in newly designed colour schemes. Players will achieve this by completing Routine Duties, with the rewards rotating alongside each new Star Path cycle.
The introduction of the Vault addresses a common player request: access to past rewards that some players may have missed due to their late arrival to the game or inability to finish specific tracks. The Vault ensures that past items, whether in original or reimagined forms, remain available for all players.
Progression within the Vault occurs in a linear fashion, requiring players to complete three Routine Duties for each reward. These Duties count toward both the active Star Path and the Vault objectives. A progress bar indicates how close players are to unlocking the next reward, which can then be collected like any other Star Path item.
Rewards within the Vault are divided into free and Premium categories. Free rewards can be obtained by completing Routine Duties, while Premium rewards remain locked unless players activate a paid Premium subscription. Players will continue to advance through tiers that contain Premium items even if they do not have a subscription.
If a player already possesses a Vault reward, they will not receive a duplicate. Instead, they will receive a Red Chest, containing an entirely new item tailored to the type of reward being replaced, ensuring that long-standing players continue to gain new assets.
As the Star Path Vault system develops, player feedback will play an essential role in its evolution.
