Anker’s groundbreaking 140W wall charger with screen!

Share

A recently unveiled unboxing video on YouTube showcases our initial hands-on experience with a novel 140W wall charger from Anker. This innovative device marks the company’s premiere foray into incorporating an integrated display that exhibits the power consumption of each of its four USB ports.

Earlier in the month, leaked details and an image of this remarkable charger were disseminated on the Anker subreddit by user joshuadwx. The Zolo wall charger is set to provide a maximum output of 140W distributed among three USB-C ports and a single USB-A port. Two of the USB-C ports boast rapid charging capabilities of up to 140W when no other devices are connected, whereas the remainder can deliver 40W and 33W of power through the USB-C and USB-A ports, respectively.

Weighing in at 350 grams, the added screen contributes to a charger that is heftier than Anker’s existing four-port chargers, such as the compact Anker 747 Charger (GaNPrime 150W), which also offers superior power delivery.

A nine-minute unboxing video uploaded by Xiao Li TV seemingly corroborates various features of the charger, including its 140W total power output, collapsible prongs, Zolo branding, power distribution capabilities among ports, and the charming display of a sleeping face when inactive.

Moreover, the video affirms that all USB ports are positioned on the downward-facing side of the Zolo. Anker has previously addressed issues with bulky chargers slipping out of wall outlets by introducing redesigned versions with enhanced stability through a shifted center of gravity and textured prongs for improved grip.

Furthermore, relocating the ports to the underside of this charger potentially mitigates the risk of accidental dislodgment from the outlet. Details regarding the pricing and global launch of the Zolo charger remain undisclosed, although insights gleaned from the leaked footage suggest an imminent debut.
