Apple Devices Face Higher Costs as AI Demand Grows
Follow spoken words in real time.
Apple, a major technology company from the United States, has raised prices on some Mac and iPad computers. The price increases are said to range from about US$100 on cheaper models to as much as US$1,300 on high-end Mac Studio desktop computers.
This happened because artificial intelligence, or AI, data centres are buying more special computer parts. These centres need a lot of memory and powerful chips, which are also used in personal devices like Macs and iPads. Because the demand is so high, the parts are more expensive for all companies that use them.
As a result, people now have to pay more if they want to buy some new Apple computers or tablets. Apple has not confirmed these changes, but the prices at some stores are already higher.
