American singer Britney Spears was seen standing through the sunroof of a moving car on the 101 Freeway near Studio City, Los Angeles. Photos showed the 44-year-old leaning out of a Mercedes SUV while the car travelled at about 74 kilometres per hour. Many people talked about this incident on social media and in the news.

Britney Spears said she acted this way because the photos did not show her whole life. She posted a message on Instagram, saying that people only saw a short moment and that things are not always as they seem. Spears explained that it was a quick act of self-expression.

After the event, there is more attention on Spears because of her past arrest for driving under the influence in April 2026. Now, people are again discussing her actions and safety while in public.
