Harry and Meghan Return to the UK Spotlight
Follow spoken words in real time.
Prince Harry and Meghan, who are known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, visited three charities in Nottingham, England, on 15 October. This was their first public visit together in Britain since moving back to the country. They met local people, talked to schoolchildren, and visited groups that help young people and families, including a recording studio, a food bank called Himmah, and Epic Partners, which supports young people with sports and education.
Harry and Meghan made this visit because they wanted to show their support for charities and young people in the area. Harry has helped some of these groups for many years. The couple chose Nottingham because it was the first place they visited together after they announced their plans to marry in 2017.
After this visit, many people hope relations between Prince Harry, Meghan, and the rest of the royal family will improve. The couple no longer work for the royal family, but their return to public charity work in Britain may help them rebuild connections and play a positive role in the country.
