New trailer released for Christopher Nolan’s Trojan War epic The Odyssey

A new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s film, The Odyssey, was released online yesterday. The film stars Matt Damon as Odysseus, who must travel home after the Trojan War. Other main actors include Tom Holland as his son and Anne Hathaway as his wife.
The movie shows many famous parts from Homer’s original story, such as the Cyclops and the nymph Calypso. The action also takes place at Odysseus’s home, where his wife and son try to protect their house from dangerous suitors.
The Odyssey was filmed in several countries and uses IMAX cameras. The release of the trailer has created global attention, with tickets already selling out in advance. The film will open in cinemas on 17 July 2026.
