Apple names John Ternus as next CEO

Apple has said that John Ternus will become the next chief executive. Tim Cook, the current leader, will become executive chairman instead. Ternus is now the senior vice president of hardware engineering. He will start his new role as chief executive on 1 September 2026, and Cook will help with the change until the end of summer.
This is a very important leadership change for Apple. Tim Cook has led Apple since 2011 and increased the company’s sales and value. Under Cook, Apple’s market value and revenue grew a lot.
