Apple’s First Foldable iPhone Goes on Sale

Apple released its first foldable smartphone, called the iPhone Duo, in stores on 23 October. This new iPhone has two screens: a small one outside and a bigger one inside when you unfold it. Apple organised launch events in many cities, including New York, London, Mumbai, and Shanghai. The iPhone Duo costs US$1,999 and is available in two colours, star white and night sky.
Apple made this foldable iPhone to give users more space for work and entertainment. When unfolded, the inner screen is 50% bigger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max. The phone is made with a titanium frame and has a special hinge. It is also possible to keep the iPhone partly folded so users can watch videos or read without holding it.
Because of this new design, some things are different on the iPhone Duo. For example, people can use two apps at the same time with Split View or watch a video while using other controls on the lower part of the screen. Apple is helping customers learn these new features and set up their phones in stores.
