Follow spoken words in real time.
Karoline Leavitt, the main spokesperson for United States President Donald Trump, will leave her job at the White House at the end of August. Leavitt has been the Press Secretary since January 2025. President Trump announced her resignation on social media and thanked her for her hard work and loyalty.
Leavitt, who is 28 years old, is leaving her position because she wants to spend more time with her family. She recently had her second child in May and has returned to work only recently. President Trump said he understands and respects her choice.
Because of this decision, the White House needs to choose a new Press Secretary soon. Karoline Leavitt is expected to continue supporting Republican politics in another role, but her departure leaves the communications team with an important job to fill.
