Thousands of people in Yemen have left their homes because Houthi forces, who are supported by Iran, are moving quickly along the Red Sea coast. The International Organization for Migration says that at least 76,000 people have been forced to move since July. Many families have taken only a few things with them and gone to cities like Aden, where local people are helping them, but temporary shelters are now very full.

This happened because fighting between the Houthi group and the government of Yemen has become much worse recently. In the past, Yemen had a civil war that killed around 150,000 people and caused hunger for many. There was a ceasefire in 2022 that stopped most fighting, but now the conflict is returning.

As a result, the United Nations warns there could be another big humanitarian crisis in Yemen. Many families are now searching for safety again and do not know when they will be able to return to their homes.
