An American Airlines Boeing 777 was compelled to execute an emergency landing Wednesday evening at Los Angeles International Airport due to a potential technical glitch.

Despite some circulated claims of a ruptured tire, airline representatives stated that AA Flight 345 from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport alighted securely at LAX around 8:45 p.m after the captain reported a conceivable technical problem prior to landing.

The aircraft, according to a company spokesperson, managed to cruise on the runway after landing, and all passengers were able to disembark safely at the jet bridge. No injuries were reported among the passengers or crew members.

This incident occurred nearly a week after a United Airlines flight from San Francisco to Osaka had to be rerouted to Los Angeles due to a lost tire during takeoff. The flight, operated by another Boeing 777, onboarded 235 passengers, 10 attendants, and 4 pilots. The damaged tire reportedly fell into a parking lot, damaging several vehicles.

The disrupted flight was redirected to LAX, where it managed to touch down safely, instantly surrounded by emergency crews. Boeing 777s are equipped with a total of 14 tires, designed to land securely even with damaged or missing tires, a United Airlines spokesperson explained.
