Police are looking into an incident where six Tesla Cybertrucks were damaged at a car shop in Lynnwood, Washington. Someone sprayed paint on the vehicles in the early morning of Saturday, March 8. The cars had words and symbols painted on them, including references to Elon Musk and swastikas.
The police are investigating the case. They are trying to get security footage from the shop to find the people responsible. One person whose car was vandalized thinks it was done out of ignorance and lack of education.
There was a separate incident in Seattle where four Cybertrucks were damaged by a fire. It is not clear if the two incidents are connected. Protesters have been demonstrating at Tesla shops in different cities, including Seattle, against Elon Musk’s actions. But protest organizers say they are not involved in the vandalism.
The FBI is looking into the vandalism cases. Another protest against Musk is planned for Wednesday in Redmond.
