After extensive work, the third-party modders at Team Folon announced that their highly anticipated unofficial fan mod, Fallout: London, is currently undergoing QA testing and awaiting final approval from release partner GOG. The release of this “DLC-sized” mod has been delayed due to a recent next-gen update from Bethesda, which has caused complications for the modding team.
Initially set for an April 23 release to coincide with England’s St. George’s Day, Fallout: London’s launch was disrupted when Bethesda announced their next-gen update for Fallout 4 would be released just two days later. This forced the Team Folon to make adjustments to their mod to ensure compatibility.
To address these complications, Team Folon will be using a “downgrader” to undo Bethesda’s mod-breaking updates. Despite facing setbacks from subsequent game updates, the team is determined to overcome these challenges and bring their mod to fruition with the assurance of the platform GOG.
While the official release date of Fallout: London is yet to be announced, the team is focused on resolving any issues caused by the updates before making it available to the public. GOG’s quality assurance process is seen as the final step before the much-anticipated mod is finally released.
