Scientists from Hebrew University in Israel and other countries have found something new about the human brain. They learned that one human brain cell, called a neuron, can do difficult calculations by itself. Before, scientists thought each neuron was simple and needed to work with many others to solve problems.

This discovery happened because researchers studied how neurons work inside the brain. They looked closely at small parts of neurons, called dendrites, which can handle information alone. This means one neuron is like a small computer and does more work than scientists believed.

Because of this study, scientists now think the human brain is much more powerful than artificial intelligence, or AI. Knowing how human neurons work may help people make better and more efficient computer programmes in the future.
