Apple Introduces Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop Band and Watch Face for 2024

Share

Apple has announced the launch of a new Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop Apple Watch band, watch face, and wallpaper. The band features a vibrant design inspired by various pride flags and includes a laser-etched lug that reads “PRIDE 2024.” It symbolizes support for Black, Hispanic, and Latin communities, as well as those affected by HIV/AIDS, with black and brown colors. The pink, light blue, and white colors represent transgender and non-binary individuals.

Accompanying the band is a new Pride Radiance watch face and wallpaper for iOS and iPadOS. The watch face displays beams of light against a dark background, reacting in real time to the wearer’s movements using gyroscope input. On the iPhone and iPad, vibrant colors spell out “Pride” and move dynamically upon unlocking the device. For the first time, users can customize the Pride watch face and wallpapers to showcase specific colors representing LGBTQ+ communities.

The new braided Solo Loop will be available for purchase starting May 22, with the Pride Radiance watch face and wallpapers set for release alongside watchOS 10.5, iOS 17.5, and iPadOS 17.5. This latest offering from Apple highlights inclusivity and celebrates diversity within the LGBTQ+ community.
