Cava (CAVA) delivered impressive results in the second quarter, surpassing expectations in revenue, earnings, and same-store sales. Following the release of their report after the market close on Thursday, the Mediterranean fast-casual chain saw a 9% increase in pre-market trading on Friday, reaching a new all-time high. Net sales soared by 35.2% year over year to $233.5 million, exceeding the estimated $219 million, while adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.17, higher than the expected $0.13. Same-store sales spiked by 14.4%, well above the 7.45% projected by Wall Street.

CEO Brett Schulman attributed the company’s success to various factors, including increased foot traffic, higher menu prices, the addition of new locations, and the introduction of grilled steak to their menu. The launch of the steak option surpassed all expectations, positioning Cava as a favorable choice for consumers seeking quality dining experiences amid economic uncertainty.

Analysts remain optimistic about Cava’s growth prospects, with plans to expand to 1,000 locations by 2032. The company opened 18 new locations in Q2, bringing the total to 341. Future growth drivers include the relaunch of their loyalty program and the implementation of catering services.
