Justin Bieber’s new album, Swag, his first in over four years, is doing well. It is topping charts on Spotify and Apple Music this weekend.
Reports say the album could sell about 150,000 to 160,000 units in its first week. Hits magazine thinks it might reach 175,000 units. This number is good, especially since Swag will not have physical sales in its first week. Bieber’s last album, Justice, debuted at number one in 2021 with 154,000 units, which included 30,000 physical sales.
Bieber is competing for the top spot on Billboard’s 200 Albums chart. Country singer Morgan Wallen is also strong this week, expecting over 150,000 units in sales.
Bieber surprised everyone by releasing Swag without any singles. He teased the album with billboards in many cities.
After its release on July 11, Swag had big success on Spotify. The song “Daisies” reached number one with over 8.5 million streams. Bieber had five songs in the top 10 on Spotify.
Bieber has faced many changes in his life recently, including health issues and a tour cancellation. He is ready for a new chapter in his career.
