NEW ORLEANS, La.—The NBA season is about to start. WVUE-TV and Gray Local Media have signed a deal with DirecTV. This deal will help more fans watch New Orleans Pelicans games during the 2025-26 season.
Now, Pelicans games that are not shown nationally will be on DirecTV. Fans can watch these games through streaming, satellite, and U-verse across three states.
“We want to give more fans access to Pelicans games. This is a big step,” said Mikel Schaefer from WVUE-TV. “We believe this will help many people watch the games.”
The first game is on Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies. DirecTV customers can find the games on these channels:
- DirecTV streaming: Channel 676
- DirecTV satellite: Channel 676-6
- U-Verse: Channels 1759 (HD) and 759 (SD)
Now, many more fans in cities like Lafayette, Baton Rouge, and Jackson can watch the games.
“DirecTV cares about local sports,” said Linda Burakoff from DirecTV. “We want to help fans access their favorite teams.”
