Google announced that its Gemini AI will be available for all Google Workspace Business and Enterprise users. It will be part of the productivity tools without extra cost at first. However, the prices of Workspace plans will increase later.
Jerry Dischler, Google’s President of Cloud Applications, said, “We want to make it easier for our users to access our new AI features. There will be no extra charge for these features.”
The new AI tools will be available from January to March.
The new AI cost will be part of the plans
Before, users paid $20 a month for Gemini on a Business plan and $30 on an Enterprise plan. Now, the prices of the basic plans are:
- Business Starter: $7 per user per month, up from $6.
- Business Standard: $14 per user per month, up from $12.
- Business Plus: $22 per user per month, up from $18.
New customers will pay these prices starting January 16. Existing customers will see the new prices on March 17 or at their next renewal. Users who already pay for the Gemini add-on will not pay after January 31.
Google Gemini will help users with tasks like note-taking, document analysis, and video editing. It will be available in tools like Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Meet.
