Mathew Knowles has responded to Kanye West’s disparaging remarks regarding his daughter Beyoncé and son-in-law Jay-Z’s children on social media.
Earlier this week, the controversial artist criticized the cognitive abilities of the couple’s 7-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir, alleging they were conceived through in vitro fertilization (IVF) in a troubling post shared on X.
Knowles, 73, who previously managed Beyoncé in the formative stages of her career, expressed his belief that West, also known as Ye, 47, will eventually face consequences for his actions.
“Individuals in the music industry often pay a price for their foolishness,” Knowles asserted in an interview with TMZ on Friday.
Hinting at West’s increasingly erratic behavior, Knowles continued, “I am hopeful that Kanye receives the necessary support for his mental well-being.”
These remarks came shortly after Knowles’ ex-wife, Tina Knowles, posted a video on Instagram perceived as a subtle rebuke to West’s reprehensible comments.
Tina, 71, humorously posed the question, “What occurs when a snowman throws a tantrum? He experiences a meltdown,” further elaborating that, “It is challenging to maintain poise and dignity in the face of ignorance and malevolence.” She emphasized her faith, stating, “This struggle is not mine, but belongs to the Lord; I am confident that God will protect us,” in a now-deleted excerpt from her post.
West has been embroiled in controversy lately, engaging in a series of inflammatory actions, from promoting antisemitic rhetoric to making bizarre allegations against his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. Despite initially deleting his post about Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s children, he later reinstated it under the pretense of not being concerned for his public image.
His tumultuous outbursts culminated in an emotional message about his relationship with Jay-Z, expressing a longing for familial support amidst their professional rivalry.
