Are you worried about giving gifts on time? Many people feel this way. In fact, more than half of Americans feel stressed about gift-giving.
People often worry about shipping deadlines. If a gift is late, they fear the person will think they do not care. However, most gift receivers don’t mind if a gift arrives late.
In a study, we found that people think late gifts are worse than they really are. Most people are okay with receiving a gift, even if it comes a bit late. It shows you were thinking of them, which is what matters.
Before Mother’s Day, many people chose cheaper gifts that arrived on time instead of better gifts that were late. This choice was because of their worry about timing.
Remember, it is better to send a late gift than to send nothing at all. People would rather have something even if it arrives late.
So don’t worry too much! A late gift can still make someone happy.
