The German company, ParTec, makes very fast computers called supercomputers. In one year, their shares shot up by 95%! The company was started in 1999. It earned 52 million euros last year and got a large contract to build a supercomputer in Europe. This computer, named Jupiter, will be very powerful.
How does ParTec build these fast computers? They make a special type of software, and that’s their main product. This makes them unique and not like their competitors. But ParTec faces a challenge. Not a lot of its shares are up for sale, so it is difficult to trade them. This is a risk that investors should know.
There is a lot of potential for ParTec in the future. The boss of ParTec, Bernhard, says that they will make special systems for AI. These will not just generate text but will have an “interior logic”. This means they will understand physicals, math and mechanics.
Bernhard says that many big groups and even governments want these computers. ParTec is working hard on it. Soon, they will offer machines that can do this.
