In Jacksonville, an old hardware store on Bay Street has become a new music venue called Decca Live. The mayor and owners celebrated this change with a ribbon cutting. The venue has different levels – the first floor has the main stage, the second floor has balconies, and there’s a rooftop bar with a view of the river. Mayor Donna Deegan thinks it’s an amazing venue. The city put $1.5 million into the project. Decca Live is owned by Eric Fuller, Evanc Rajita, Aleksander Lukaj, and Shawn Rouf. They want it to be a place for arts and entertainment. They will have different kinds of music performances. The venue can hold a thousand people and has special features like good sound systems and a shower for performers. It will also create about 100 jobs. The grand opening is on Jan. 31 with the artist “Kaskade”. It’s already sold out.
