Ukraine has offered to stop attacks inside Russia if Russia agrees to stop hitting important buildings in Ukraine. This proposal was made by Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He said the deal could help to reduce the fighting in the war.

President Zelenskyy made this offer because he wants to protect Ukraine’s electricity systems and other important services like energy and food supply. He asked for a real promise from Russia, but he said Ukraine is not sure that Russia will keep such an agreement.

Because of this offer, there might be fewer attacks on things people need every day, such as electricity and food routes. If both countries agree, it could be a first step towards less fighting. However, until there is a promise, the war and attacks are continuing.
