Voletta Wallace, the mother of the well-known rapper, The Notorious B.I.G., has passed away. She was 78 years old. Mrs. Wallace died in her home in Pennsylvania. She had been in care.
The Notorious B.I.G, whose real name was Christopher Wallace, was killed in 1997. His mother has always spoken out about her son and how much she misses him.
Mrs. Wallace liked to remember his work in music. Even though she didn’t like the music at first, she came to understand his talent. She once said his music made her cry because it was beautiful.
She also wrote a book called ‘Biggie’ in 2005. She talked about how she still feels sad about her son’s death. She made a movie and a documentary about him. She did a lot to keep his memory alive.
Voletta Wallace was born in Jamaica and later moved to the U.S. She worked as a teacher and raised her son in Brooklyn.
Her son’s first album is called ‘Ready to Die’. It sold more than six million copies. His second album, ‘Life After Death’, sold over 11 million copies. He was really popular and even entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.
