Six years ago, Rachel Sennott made a funny video about life in Los Angeles. In it, she pretends to be a cool girl living in LA. She dances in her small New York bedroom and says, “C’mon! It’s LA! I’m addicted to drugs. We all are!” This video helped her start her comedy career.
Rachel moved to Los Angeles after her first big movie, “Shiva Baby,” in 2020. Since then, she has worked in popular films like “Bodies Bodies Bodies” and “Bottoms.” Her Instagram shows her at parties and with famous friends, like Charli XCX.
In her new show, “I Love LA,” Rachel plays Maia. The show is about young people living in LA. It shows the fun and hard sides of the city. Maia has a hard boss who pretends to be her friend. She also has friends who act like they are rich and famous but are not.
Rachel wants her show to feel real. It tells stories about young adults today, including feelings of stress and hope. “I Love LA” starts on November 2 on HBO.
