On the second night of a special concert by the War On Drugs at Johnny Brenda’s, there were two surprise guests.
The first guest was Craig Finn. He is the singer of The Hold Steady. He has a new album called Always Been produced by Adam Granduciel from War On Drugs.
The second guest was a big surprise. It was Joe Walsh, the famous musician from the Eagles and the James Gang. He joined the band for the last three songs of the show.
The concert was more than two hours long. It was a benefit concert for the Fund for the School District of Philadelphia.
Earlier in the concert, the band played a great cover of Tom Petty’s “Love Is A Long Road.” They also played a long version of “Harmonia’s Dream” that featured keyboard player Robbie Bennett.
The night was very exciting, especially with Joe Walsh on stage. He played his hit song “Rocky Mountain Way,” and the crowd loved it. It was a special night that everyone will remember.
The final night of the concert was set for Saturday at Johnny Brenda’s, but no special guests were announced.
