Discover the Exciting New Stardust Currency in Among Us 3D!

At its essence, the social deduction game Among Us revolves around diligent crewmates uniting to accomplish various tasks while cunning impostors stealthily eliminate them one by one. An enjoyable aspect of Among Us that captivates players is the ability to personalize their character, affectionately known as a “bean,” with an array of cosmetic items such as hats, gloves, and visors. The forthcoming PC release, Among Us 3D, will perpetuate this tradition, as confirmed by developers during a recent press conference announcing the game’s launch.

During the event attended by Game Rant, Schell Games’ lead producer Bryan Gardiner, project director Ryan Hall, and assistant product marketing manager Adam Kuta unveiled that Among Us 3D will introduce a brand-new currency named Stardust. Mirroring the Stars currency found in the 2D version, Stardust will enable players to acquire various cosmetics, allowing them to truly express their individuality.

Ryan Hall emphasized that Stardust is exclusively intended for purchasing cosmetics. He explained, “It streamlines content updates,” with Gardiner adding that this focus enables the development team to allocate resources toward new modes and customizations. While core game updates, such as new roles and modes, will likely be provided free of charge, limited-time collaborative cosmetics might come with a Stardust price tag. Among Us has previously collaborated with iconic franchises like Ace Attorney and League of Legends.

Although an official release date for Stardust has not been disclosed, players can look forward to a demo of Among Us 3D during the upcoming Steam NEXT Fest on February 24, 2025.
