The Granite Theatre is putting on a show called “The 1940’s Radio Christmas Carol.” It’s a funny take on Charles Dickens’ classic story. The show is set on Christmas Eve in 1943. A group of actors in Newark, New Jersey try to perform a modern version of the Christmas tale on live radio. But things go wrong, like plumbing issues and power outages. One actor, William St. Claire, messes up a lot. The show becomes a mix of comedy and drama. St. Claire connects his own life to the story. To fix the mess, they make a new ending with a detective and a villain. The show opens this Friday and has music, costumes, set design, lighting, sound, and special sound effects. Come see the show at the Granite Theatre!
