Airbnb, a large travel company, has raised its revenue forecast for 2026 after strong demand for travel stays. On 5 November, Airbnb said it now expects revenue to grow by a high-teens percentage this year. In the three months ending 30 September, Airbnb earned $4.87 billion, which is about 19% higher than one year ago. The company’s diluted earnings per share increased to $3.16 from $2.21. The number of nights and seats booked also rose 16% to 155 million.

The main reason for these results is that more people are still booking travel with Airbnb, even though there is inflation and uncertainty in some regions. Airbnb shared that demand in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa has stayed strong. The company is watching conditions in places where the situation could change.

After this news, Airbnb’s share price went up by about 10% in extended trading. Airbnb also decided to authorise a share buyback programme worth up to $12 billion. This means the company will buy its own shares, which can help increase their value.
