Universal’s Broadway adaptation of “Wicked” alongside FX/Hulu’s Japanese drama “Shogun” emerged as prominent contenders in the film and television categories, each securing five nominations at the SAG Awards. Notably, “Wicked” matched the record for the most film nominations in SAG history, garnering acclaim for its ensemble cast, as well as individual accolades for Cynthia Erivo in the Best Actress category, Ariana Grande as Supporting Actress, and Jonathan Bailey for Supporting Actor, in addition to a nomination for its stunts.
