The Rock and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin are two famous wrestlers. They are closely connected.
The Rock recently talked to Mark Kerr, a UFC star. The Rock is playing Kerr in his new movie, “The Smashing Machine.” During the chat, a picture of Steve Austin appeared on a screen. This made The Rock talk about how much he loves Austin.
The Rock said, “Austin helped me a lot. He was very popular. He saw talent in me. He said we had good chemistry. He wanted to main event WrestleMania with me.” In 1999, Austin asked Vince McMahon to work with The Rock.
The Rock remembered their last match at WrestleMania 19. He said, “Austin did not have to help me, but he did. I pinned him three times. I told him, ‘I love you, man.’ He said, ‘I love you too.’ It was a special moment.”
The movie “The Smashing Machine” is in theaters now. The Rock may get an Academy Award for his role in it.
