Chance the Rapper is back with new music! It has been six years since his first album, The Big Day. On August 15, he will release his new album called Star Line.
Chance said that this album is about his travels and changes in his life. He explained that he visited Ghana and connected with his family. He also went through a divorce. “A lot happened since my last album,” he said.
There are many sounds from Chicago in Star Line. But Chance also used music from Ghana, Jamaica, and cities like New Orleans and New York.
Chance shared advice he got from comedian Dave Chappelle. He said that albums are like “yearbook photos.” They show who you are at that moment. It is important to share these moments.
Chance also talked about his song “Tree.” He said it is fun, but it also discusses serious problems in the cannabis industry.
