Jason Aldean Responds to Carrie Underwood’s Inauguration Slip-Up

Jason Aldean has expressed his commendation for the quintessential American figure, Carrie Underwood.

In a recent engagement, the country music icon shared his insights regarding Underwood’s remarkable a cappella rendition of “America the Beautiful,” which she delivered during Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony on Monday.

“Firstly, it’s inherently a challenging composition to perform, particularly when one typically relies on an instrumental backdrop for pitch accuracy,” Aldean, aged 47, noted in his appearance on Tuesday’s episode of “Fox & Friends.”

“To confront such a scenario, and to boldly declare, ‘Let’s proceed!’ is not only audacious but also indicative of her professionalism. I found her performance to be exceptional,” he articulated.

During the inauguration, Underwood, 41, flawlessly sang the patriotic melody despite encountering significant technical difficulties that necessitated her to perform sans musical accompaniment.

As she stood microphone in hand, a technician informed her of the issues, prompting her to respond, “Just sing? I can certainly do that.”

“You know the lyrics — lend me a hand here,” she encouraged the audience before delivering the song with resounding vigor.

Prior to this pivotal occasion, Underwood reflected on the privilege of performing, expressing her deep respect for the nation: “I am truly honored to have been invited to contribute to this historic event,” she conveyed in a statement to The Post, emphasizing the necessity for unity and hope for the future.

Aldean, conversely, participated in the Liberty Ball in celebration of the president’s supporters.

“With each new endeavor, I find myself experiencing unprecedented moments… This occasion was distinctly unique,” Aldean remarked to Fox. “Being an integral part of such a monumental event felt electrifying, as enthusiasm permeated the air in anticipation of this new chapter.”

Aldean’s spouse, Brittany, resonated with his sentiments through her social media, exclaiming, “INAUGURATION NIGHT. What an extraordinary journey it has been! Today’s events have rendered all the scrutiny worthwhile.”

Initially, Underwood’s decision to perform elicited controversy from certain critics, including the hosts of “The View.”

While Whoopi Goldberg defended her choice, the co-host Sunny Hostin articulated that, if in her position, she would have declined the invitation. Alyssa Farah Griffin speculated that Underwood’s performance might be influenced by potential financial gain.

Lee Greenwood, who performed “God Bless the USA” at the same ceremony, came to Underwood’s defense amidst the backlash. “It is lamentable that some individuals feel compelled to generate negativity towards her. A simple acknowledgment of gratitude for her performance for the incoming president would suffice,” he stated in an exclusive interview.

Underwood has consistently maintained her political neutrality, refraining from publicly disclosing her voting preferences. “While there is a candidate I support, I choose not to divulge that information,” she remarked in a 2008 interview with TV Guide. “I believe it undermines the intelligence of the public to endorse a specific candidate.”
