ABC News weatherman Rob Marciano terminated following altercation

ABC News weatherman Rob Marciano was recently fired by the Disney-owned network after a reported altercation with a show producer. The incident, described as a “heated screaming match” witnessed by other staff members, led to Marciano’s dismissal. According to sources, Ginger Zee, chief meteorologist for ABC and “Good Morning America,” alerted management about the incident. This outburst was reportedly the final straw, as network executives were already aware of Marciano’s history of alleged anger management issues.

The conflict between Marciano and Zee had reportedly been ongoing for years, with tensions kept under wraps by management. Marciano’s behavior, including oversharing personal details about his divorce, made colleagues uncomfortable. Despite being hired by “GMA” in 2014 as a weekend meteorologist, Marciano frequently clashed with Zee.

Following his dismissal from “Good Morning America,” Marciano was assigned to “World News Tonight.” It was speculated that his reported salary of nearly $1 million was a factor in the decision. The network had previously banned Marciano from the “GMA” studio due to inappropriate behavior towards a colleague. ABC News, Marciano, and Zee have not yet commented on the situation.
