Hot mess, indeed.
Alix Earle’s podcast “Hot Mess” has recently been discontinued by Alex Cooper’s Unwell Network. Reports indicate that SiriusXM will no longer manage advertising for the show, and the Unwell Network has relinquished all rights to “Hot Mess,” enabling Earle to pursue new opportunities unencumbered.
This shake-up has sparked a flurry of speculation on social media regarding a potential feud between Cooper, the host of the immensely popular “Call Her Daddy” podcast, and Earle, a social media influencer known for her vibrant TikTok presence. Rumors intensified when Earle opted not to attend an Unwell Super Bowl party in New Orleans, despite being in close proximity.
In August 2023, Cooper introduced the Unwell Network, welcoming Earle to its roster. The network aimed to connect with Gen Z by showcasing “unique voices that tackle social issues and personal insecurities through candid dialogue.”
The initial line-up also featured Madeline Argy from “Pretty Lonesome,” who was set to collaborate with Cooper and Earle on various projects spanning pop culture, beauty, fashion, and lifestyle.
Despite Earle’s departure, the Unwell Network remains robust with talent like Grace O’Malley, who is set to launch her podcast “DisGRACEful.” Additionally, Cooper’s network includes Harry Jowsey’s “Boyfriend Material” and Owen Theile’s “In Your Dreams,” while Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” continues to attract prominent guests, including Kamala Harris during the lead-up to the presidential election.
