In an amusing revelation, pop singer Billie Eilish recently divulged that her admiration for actor Christian Bale prompted her to terminate a relationship. She accredited her realization to a dream she had about the actor, known for his role as Batman in “The Dark Knight.”
During a novel interview conducted by Amelia Dimoldenberg, host of “Chicken Shop Date,” the discussion touched on the theme of superheroes. Despite her limited knowledge of the genre, Eilish confessed that Bale’s portrayal of Batman is her favorite.
“It was a dream about Christian Bale which served as the epiphany. It was a simple cafe setting, bathed in sunlight, and it snapped me out of my reverie,” the young artist amusingly shared. The realisation led her to break up with her then-boyfriend, much to the amusement of everyone present.
Eilish has had a couple of notable relationships in the public eye. She was linked with Jesse Rutherford, member of the band The Neighbourhood, in 2023 which, interestingly, faced criticism due to their ten-year age gap. Earlier, she had a brief fling with actor Matthew Tyler Vorce from 2021 to 2022, which ended amidst infidelity rumors. Vorce, 10 years her senior, vehemently denied these rumors on social media.
In December 2023, Eilish was criticized by Variety for opening up about her sexuality during a red carpet interview. An irate Eilish responded on Instagram saying “I like boys and girls. Leave me alone about it, please. Who cares about it, stream ‘What Was I Made For‘”.
Coming back to her professional life, Eilish and her brother Finneas plan to perform “WWIMF” live at the Oscars on March 10.
