The 2024 BAFTA Film Awards are taking place on Sunday at the Royal Festival Hall in London, England, hosted by actor David Tennant. The movie “Oppenheimer,” directed by Christopher Nolan, leads the nominees with 13 nods. Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Poor Things” follows with 11 nominations, while Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” and Jonathan Glazer’s “The Zone of Interest” each received nine nominations. “Barbie” earned five nominations, including one for lead actress Margot Robbie, but missed out on a best picture nod.
The Screen Actors Guild Awards will be the only other major awards event before the Oscars on March 10. The BAFTA ceremony will be broadcast on BBC One in the UK and streamed on BBC iPlayer and BritBox.
