The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office has revealed the cause of death of Crazy Town frontman Shifty Shellshock three months after he passed away. It was determined that he died from an accidental overdose, with Fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine found in his system.
The singer, whose real name was Seth Binzer, passed away at the age of 49 at a residence in Los Angeles. Crazy Town’s manager, Howie Hubberman, confirmed his death and spoke about Shellshock’s struggles with addiction.
Shellshock had openly talked about his battles with addiction and had appeared on “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” to seek help. He left behind three children, whom he was incredibly proud of.
Before his untimely passing, Shellshock had dated actress Soleil Moon Frye, who fondly remembered him after his death. His family also released a statement expressing their love for him and the impact he had on their lives.
Shellshock was known for his music with Crazy Town, particularly their hit single “Butterfly.” His journey with addiction and efforts towards sobriety were ongoing until his tragic death.
