The Kickstarter campaign for the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game (TCG) has dramatically surpassed its initial funding target of £100,000, raising over $3 million within hours of launch. As of the latest update, the total amount has exceeded $7.4 million, highlighting significant interest in the project.
Fans can choose from a variety of backing options, starting with the Common Cyberdecks tier priced at $49. This entry-level choice offers two starter decks designed to familiarise players with the game mechanics. The options range all the way to the “Night City Legend” tier, which costs nearly $8,000.
Higher tiers, such as Quickhacks at $169 and Netrunner Starter Kit at $349, provide more extensive card collections along with additional collectible items like premium dice. Some bundles, such as Padre’s Blessing at $999, increase the number of cards further and include accessories like sleeves and playmats. The most exclusive tier, Night City Legend, offers a comprehensive package with eight starter decks and high-end items, including unique metal cards and uncut sheets of rare cards.
The campaign gained momentum quickly, reaching its initial goal within five minutes of launching. The team at WeirdCo expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic backing, noting the rapid increase in funds. They have since added numerous stretch goals, such as new card upgrades, which will reward backers if the campaign reaches further financial milestones.
Moving forward, if the campaign reaches $10 million, all backers will receive a special Kickstarter-exclusive card, enhancing the appeal for potential supporters.
