Deadpool is often likened to Marvel Jesus by the antihero himself. This brings its North American total to $395.6 million, making it one of the top-grossing MCU titles. Overseas, it raked in an additional $110.5 million, bringing its global total to $824.1 million. It’s on track to join the billion-dollar club soon.
The film has surpassed numerous milestones, surpassing even The Passion of the Christ as the highest-grossing R-rated movie domestically. It has also outperformed the previous Deadpool films in just two weeks. Globally, it ranks as the third highest-grossing R-rated film.
Disney’s success continues with Deadpool 3 and other hits like Inside Out 2. The studio has reached the $3 billion mark in worldwide ticket sales. Directed by Shawn Levy and starring Hugh Jackman, Deadpool & Wolverine dominates the box office, leaving competition like Twisters and Trap in its wake.
While some films struggle, such as Harold and the Purple Crayon, which received mixed reviews, others like Despicable Me 4 and Inside Out 2 thrive. The animated films have crossed $300 million domestically and $1.55 billion globally, setting records in the genre. Neon’s Longlegs also continues to perform well, defying expectations for an indie film.
