The Warlock class in the game Diablo II offers players three choices for Demonic partners. Many players prefer the Tainted demon. This demon attacks slower enemies from a distance with fireballs. Other demons can get too close to many enemies and are less helpful. Some players do not see the need for a skill that teleports a demon or sacrifices it for damage, as the demons can fight well on their own.
The Chaos upgrade branch focuses on magic that affects many enemies at once, called area-of-effect (AoE) spells. Players often use these spells for direct damage. The Flame Wave spell quickly clears long, narrow areas. The Sigil of Lethargy slows down fast enemies, giving players time to plan their attacks.
Mixing Chaos skills with weapon upgrades creates a strong play style. It feels like a mix of different classes, but still unique.
Players have not yet seen the new late-game content in the “Reign of the Warlock” DLC. The Warlock class brings a fresh twist to familiar gameplay, making it an exciting choice for returning players.
