Eric Dane, popularly known as Dr. Mark Sloan or McSteamy from the TV series “Grey’s Anatomy”, is sharing his experience about leaving the show.
Dane joined “Grey’s Anatomy” in its second season and soon became a fan-favorite. However, his character died in the show’s eighth season following a plane crash.
Dane briefly returned to the show in its 17th season. Meredith, the main character, imagines seeing him while she is in a coma because of COVID-19.
Recently, Dane appeared on Dax Shepard’s podcast, “Armchair Podcast”. On the show, he said his exit from “Grey’s Anatomy” was not by choice.
Dane revealed that he was dealing with personal issues during his time on “Grey’s Anatomy”. He battled an addiction to painkillers and also suffered from depression. He admitted that handling his newfound fame was difficult.
