Sophia Kirkby and Chevonne Forgan from the USA team did well in the Oberhof World Cup in Germany. They smiled a lot. They took part in the women’s doubles luge event. They did really well and set a new record. They came 5th. The duo had a great start but had an issue in their first run. They still finished with a good timing.
A team from Germany – Dajana Eitberger and Saskia Schirmer – won the race. Another USA team, Maya Chan and Reannyn Weiler, came 7th. They made a few mistakes, but they did well in their second run.
In the men’s doubles race, the USA team with Zack DiGregorio and Sean Hollander came 9th. They started well, but had a bit of trouble in their second run. The race was won by a team from Austria.
In the men’s and women’s singles races, an athlete from the USA named Emily Sweeney came 6th. In the sprint races, the Team USA did well again. Kirkby and Forgan finished 5th in women’s doubles, while Sweeney led the field in the women’s singles event.
