As whispers concerning the health of the Princess of Wales swirl wildly amidst the turbulence generated by her photo-editing spectacle, Meghan Markle has taken the initiative to extend an offering of solace to her distant sister-in-law, or so says a source privy to the matter.
Tom Quinn, the author of the exposé, “Scandals of the Royal Palaces”, disclosed to the Mirror that the Duchess of Sussex has attempted to communicate apostolically with Kensington Palace in her bid to connect with Kate Middleton, who finds herself at the center of rampant conjecture concerning her health and location due to her ongoing recuperation from a grave abdominal surgery.
Quinn asserts unequivocally, “She is genuinely perturbed by Kate’s condition.”
The Duchess, alongside her spouse Prince Harry, has led a life of non-communication with Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William, ever since their relocation to the idyllic suburb of Montecito, Calif. in the year 2020.
Despite this, it seems improbable that Kate is in a state where commencing reconciliation dialogue would be plausible, another person in the know maintains firmly.
Royal pundit, Jennie Bond, articulately opines to OK!, “I highly doubt Kate would ever deem Meghan — who had a rather brief tenure in the Royal household — a person she could rely on for sagacious advice or emotional succor during her recovery process.”
She adds, “This is a period of recuperation, both physically and psychologically, and the likelihood of her desiring to unravel the tangled web of family discord at this juncture seems highly unlikely.”
However, Bond poses a potential scenario where if the erstwhile actress, Markle, sends a simple token of goodwill to ‘cheer her up’, then there’s a significant chance that the Duchess of Cambridge would graciously accept the gesture.
Quinn concurs with Bond’s elucidation, emphasizing that Middleton would indeed accept Markle’s overtures, if only to avoid the perception of outrightly snubbing these reconciliatory attempts. Despite this, however, it is unlikely to manifest any substantive reconciliation between the two ladies or their squabbling spouses.
He elucidates further, “The current sentiment in Kensington Palace insinuates that any acceptance of Meghan’s pacifist attempts would merely resurrect old wounds.”
Middleton has been conspicuously absent from the limelight since Christmas 2023, save for a few indistinct photographs showing her in transit.
She is also giving the artillery salutes of the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade held at Mons Barracks in Aldershot, England, a miss. This is an event that the potential future Queen has traditionally attended every year.
Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth, Middleton was bestowed with the honor of being the colonel-in-chief of the Irish Guards.
