Kelly Clarkson, the host of a popular daytime talk show, has announced that her stint on the show will soon end. The decision was made public by her and NBCUniversal, who confirmed that ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ will close after the current season. The seventh season’s production will keep going as planned, with episodes being shown until autumn.
Clarkson explained that she chose to leave the show to spend more quality time with her children. She feels that it is the right thing to do in this phase of their lives. She has a daughter and a son, aged 11 and 9 respectively, with her late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.
She expressed gratitude to the dedicated team she has worked with on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ in both Los Angeles and New York branches. She recounted the memorable moments of the seven seasons and thanked her fans for their support. She admitted that leaving was not an easy choice, but added that she would continue her musical career and might appear occasionally on ‘The Voice’.
Since its inauguration in 2019, ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ has won 24 Daytime Emmy Awards, proving a hit with around 1.2 million regular viewers each day. Tracie Wilson, an executive of NBCUniversal Syndication Studios, and Valari Staab, a high-ranking official at NBCUniversal Local, both expressed their appreciation for the quality content the show has produced.
Kelly Clarkson will continue hosting the show for the rest of the 2025-26 season, with a mixture of guest hosts also featuring. Universal Television produces the show and NBCUniversal Syndication Studios distributes it, with Alex Duda acting as the executive producer and lead director.
