Thomas Kingston, the husband of Lady Gabriella Windsor, was found dead at his parents’ house in the English countryside. Mr. Kingston, aged 45, was discovered with a serious head injury. According to a coroner, there was also a gun near his body. The local police believe the death is not suspicious.
Before his death, Mr. Kingston had lunch with his parents at their home. Afterwards, his father left to walk their dogs. When he came back, he couldn’t find Mr. Kingston in the house. His mother looked for him after about half an hour. They found him in an additional building to their house with his severe injury. An ambulance was called, but it was too late.
Mr. Kingston was well known and well loved. He studied economic history at university, worked in the diplomatic missions unit at the Foreign Office, and spent a year in Iraq. He was a project manager with the International Centre for Reconciliation in Baghdad in 2003. In 2004, he survived a suicide bombing in Iraq that killed 22 people. Afterwards, he returned to the UK for work. Eventually, he climbed the corporate ladder and became the director of a company that provided short-term loans to businesses in developing countries.
He got married in 2019 to Lady Gabriella Windsor. Her father, Prince Michael, is Elizabeth II’s first cousin. The couple had a big, cheerful wedding in Windsor. They seemed to have a happy marriage.
Buckingham Palace revealed his death to the public on Tuesday evening. Lady Gabriella described her husband as an exceptional man. She said that his death was a big shock to the entire family. Buckingham Palace said that everyone in the family was mourning the loss. They sent their deepest thoughts and prayers to Lady Gabriella and the Kingston family.
