Marvel Maximum Collection is being developed for the Nintendo Switch, though the release date is yet to be announced. This collection will feature thirteen classic games, all preserved from their original console and handheld versions, along with new features.
Included titles range from “X-Men: The Arcade Game” to “Silver Surfer”. “X-Men: The Arcade Game” allows up to six players to team up online to battle Magneto. “Captain America and The Avengers” lets players control multiple superheroes in various gameplay styles across different systems. “Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage” is based on a popular comic and offers a choice between two contrasting visual styles from the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive versions.
The collection also features “Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety”, where players can cooperate in a two-player mode. Other games include “Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge”, noted for its handheld adaptations, and “Silver Surfer”, renowned for its challenging gameplay.
New features will enhance the gaming experience. A digital archive will include high-resolution scans of original box art and manuals. A music player will allow fans to listen to the memorable chip-tune scores from each game. Players can also benefit from the rewind and save states feature, easing the difficulty of challenging sections in various games. Additionally, display options will let players enjoy modern pixel clarity or vintage visual effects.
