Red Magnolia performs ‘Mother of the Maid’ in Baton Rouge | Entertainment/Life

A theatre company called Red Magnolia Theatre Co. is putting on a play called “Mother of the Maid”. The play will be at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church. The story is about Joan of Arc and her mother, Isabelle. Joan of Arc was a soldier in France many years ago, and she dressed in men’s clothes. She got messages from God that helped her to be a great fighter.

Isabelle is the main character in the show. She always helped her daughter. The play shows how parents can support their children who are different. Joan was different because she was a girl soldier, and this was not usual for that time.

This show will run for six nights in March. The tickets cost $25 for students and $35 for adults. You can buy tickets from the Red Magnolia Theatre Co. website. The show will be easy for everyone to understand and enjoy.
